  About Project

Situation:
An Agency Supports Restaurant Workers
In December of 2020, New York City’s Mayor Bill de Blasio announced the shuttering of indoor dining in response to the pandemic. This decision was made despite the reality that only 1.4% of COVID-19 cases could be traced to restaurant settings versus 74% for home visits. The reaction of the New York City hospitality community was swift and vocal. Several organizations, including the New York City Hospitality Alliance and the New York State Latino Restaurant Bar & Lounge Association, organized a “Super Tuesday Rally” in the heart of Times Square. They urged Congress to pass the RESTAURANTS Act, which would provide immediate relief to the industry.

To show our support, the agency team attended the rally, including our Digital Studio Divison’s in-house videographer. While we were moved by the speeches, a sign held by a beautiful little girl summed it all up eloquently. It said “Save My Daddy’s Job.” That became the theme of our agency’s video that we shot on the spot and edited the same day. We promoted the video on our agency’s social media platforms and YouTube channel, where it was viewed 4,000 times and shared 38 times.

Strategies:
Promote the video on Hanna Lee Communications’ social media channels and YouTube

Objectives:
Raise awareness of the need to pass the RESTAURANTS Act to help beleaguered hospitality workers
Reinforce the positioning of Hanna Lee Communications as an innovative agency that cares about the hospitality & travel community and supports it in innovative ways

Execution:
The agency promoted the video extensively on our social media channels and on YouTube

Results:
The video was viewed 4,000 times and shared 38 times
We hope it motivated those who viewed it to take positive action to help the hospitality community
