Sixth Street Double Oak Bourbon

Category: Taste Competition | Whisky | 1042. Bourbon, Single Barrel, Special Barrel Finish, Specify ______ - Age Stated 5-10 Years | Double Oak
About Project

Our first Double Oak bottling ever: 9+ year bourbon, aged and rebarreled in Texas for 9+ months in a second New American White Oak barrel. Char #1 with wave cut. 75/21/4 mash bill.

Slightly darker, notes of charred oak, leather, and maple brown sugar. The second oak barreling brings a bit more tannins from the wood without overdoing it. The result being a bit softer and rounded, with bittersweet dark chocolate and a wonderful finish.

Tasting Notes:

Big bold and spicy with a huge cinnamon blast of character. Lots of tasty toffee pudding and chocolatey flavors, plus a butterscotch icing character that hangs on through the finish.
